History of the department
Department of Philosophy started its journey in the year 2010 with general course. The Honours course in Philosophy was introduced in 2015. Since then the Department has been relentlessly striving for all round development of its students.
Speciality of the department
Apart from the conventional class room teaching the department organizes various programmes to help students enhance their academic excellence and make them understand social values. Some of these are group discussion, audio visual method of teaching, parent teacher meeting, classroom debate, special lectures, educational excursion etc. The department encourages the students to learn through small project work, question answer session by students, informal teaching in small groups. The teachers always track examination preparation of students. Teachers provide counselling to students to guide them in their higher studies, career choice and in securing their mental health.
