Scholarship Policy

1. AIKYASHREE (MINORITY ) SCHOLARSHIP : TSP (Talent Support Program), Post Matric, SVMCM:

TSP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria (Fresh / Renewal)

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship: -

 • The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal state.
 • The students belonging to minority communities (Buddhist, Christian, Jain Muslim, Parsee & Sikh) are eligible for this scholarship.
 • He/She should be studying within class 11th to PhD level.
 • The applicant must have passed his/her previous qualifying exam of Board/University with less than 50% marks (50% or more marks are not eligible).
 • The family annual income of the applicant should be less than Rs.2 Lakhs.
 • Only two children of a family can apply for this scholarship
 • The students pursuing regular courses are eligible for this scholarship.
 • The selected students must not be receiving any other scholarship while applying for this scholarship.
 • After submitting the application form the applicant must take a print out of the application. This print out must be submitted at the concerned institute along with a bank passbook and annual income certificate.

Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria (Fresh / Renewal)

• The applicant must have passed his/her previous qualifying exam of Board/University with 50-59% marks (60% or more marks are not eligible).
• Other criteria are same as TSP scholarship

SVMCM (Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme for Minorities, Eligibility Criteria (Fresh / Renewal)

• The applicant must have passed his/her previous qualifying exam of Board/University with 60% or more than 60% Marks.
1st renewal: Submission of SEM 1 and SEM 2 Marksheet required
2nd Renewal: Submission of SEM 3 and SEM 4 Marksheet required
• Other criteria are same as TSP scholarship

2. NSP (National scholarship portal)

NSP Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students

Eligibility Criteria (Fresh / Renewal)

• Applicant must have passed Class 12 from a recognized institution
• Applicant must have scored in the top 80% of students in the relevant stream (such as science, commerce, or humanities) in Class 12 board exams
• Applicant should be pursuing UG/PG degree in a professional course such as Medical, Engineering etc., at colleges/institutions recognized by the All-India Council for Technical Education and respective regulatory bodies concerned
• Gross parental/family income should be within INR 4,50,000/Annum

Note: Students pursuing degree courses through distance mode or correspondence and diploma courses are not eligible.

Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities

Eligibility Criteria (Fresh / Renewal):

• Students of class 11 to higher education having at least 50% marks in the previous exam.
• Family Income should be less than 2 lakhs.
• Students should belong to minority communities like Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians/Parsis etc.

3. OASIS SCHOLARSHIP (SC/ST/OBC Scholarship)

Post-matric scholarship for SC/ST students (Fresh / Renewal)

Eligibility Criteria (Fresh / Renewal):

• The applicant should be an Indian.
• The applicant should be studying at the post-secondary or post-matriculation level and belong to SC/ST category.
• The annual income of parents/guardians should not be more than INR 2,50,000 from all sources. Post-matric scholarship for OBC students (Fresh / Renewal)
• The applicant should be an Indian.
• The applicant should be studying at the post-secondary level and belong to the OBC category.
• The annual income of the family/guardian from all sources should not be more than INR 1,00,000

4. KANYSHREE PRAKALPA

Under the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme, girls between the ages of 13 and 18 will receive an annual scholarship, known as the Kanyashree scholarship (K1), to support their educational expenses. Additionally, there is a one-time grant called the Kanyashree K2, which is provided to girls when they turn 18 years of age, provided they are unmarried and have continued their education.

5. SVMCM (Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme

Eligibility Criteria (Fresh / Renewal)

For UG - level:

The minimum qualifying marks for being considered for award of scholarships will be 60% in aggregate, in the H.S. Examination conducted by the W.B. Council of H.S. Education/Madrasah Siksha Parishad. For the UG level separate merit lists will be prepared or Arts, Commerce and Science.
1st renewal: Submission of SEM 1 and SEM 2 Marksheet required
2nd Renewal: Submission of SEM 3 and SEM 4 Marksheet required

For PG - level:

Candidates should be graduates and secured at least 53% marks in the Honours subject at the graduation level. The marks obtained in Honours subject will be the only deciding criterion academically for award of the PG-level scholarships. Kanyashree recipients (K-2) (married/unmarried) pursuing Post Graduate courses in Science, Arts and Commerce stream from Universities of this State after obtaining Under Graduate Degree with 45% marks in aggregate from Institutions of this State will come under the aegis of this Scholarship Scheme.
There is no need to submit Income Certificate and Income Affidavit in respect of Kanyashree students applying for K-3 scholarship under Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme.

6. Central Sanskrit University Scholarships Scheme

Eligibility Criteria :

B.A.-1st/ B.A.(Hons.)- 1st year students or equivalent must have passed Intermediate/Higher Secondary/12th class or equivalent course with minimum 60% marks or equal grade in overall subject and also 60% marks or equal grade in the Sanskrit/Pali/ Prakrit as a subject. The students should have opted Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a paper of at-least 100 marks or equivalent grade in current class and also in previous class (i.e., 12th class or equivalent course).

B.A.-2nd/ B.A.(Hons.)- 2nd year students or equivalent must have passed B.A.-1st/B.A.(Hons.)-1st year or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks or equal grade in overall subject and also 60% marks or equal grade in the Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a subject. The candidate passed previous two semester/one year or equivalent course (i.e., B.A.-1st/B.A.(Hons.)-1st year or equivalent course). The students should have opted Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a paper of at-least 100 marks or equivalent grade in current class and also in previous class (i.e., B.A.-1st/ B.A.(Hons.)-1st year or equivalent course).

B.A.-3rd/ B.A.(Hons.)- 3rd year students or equivalent must have passed B.A.-2nd/B.A.(Hons.)-2nd year or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks or equal grade in overall subject and also 60% marks or equal grade in the Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit. The candidate passed previous two semester/one year or equivalent course (i.e., B.A.-2nd/ B.A.(Hons.)-2nd year or equivalent course). The students should have opted Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a paper of at-least 100 marks or equivalent grade in current class and also in previous class (i.e., B.A.-2nd/ B.A.(Hons.)-2nd year or equivalent course).

7. SITARAM JINDAL SCHOLARSHIP :

Eligibility Criteria :

• Candidates should be pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• Male applicants must score at least 60%, and female applicants must score at least 55% in the last qualifying examination.
