B. Specialty of the Department :
• Sufficient books are available in College and Departmental Libraries.So students and teachers can borrow books as and when needed.
• A number of e-books are available in departmental e-library. Students may access those books according to their requirements.
• Teachers try to follow modern methods of teaching wherever possible. They also try to provide their students with model questions and answers.
• Studious students are there in both Honours and General Levels.
• Department has a full time research fellow.
C. Seminar Organized :
• A State Level Seminar on "Some Basic Aspects in UG Level Mathematics". Sponsored by Directorate of Higher Education (Social Education Branch, Govt. of West Bengal) at Ramsaday College, Amta, Howrah on January 19, 2012.
• A State Level Seminar on "Emerging Trends in Mathematics & its Application" and an Exhibition on Mathematics Sponsored by University Grants Commission (Govt. of India) as a collaborative institute on September 28, 2013.
• A State Level Workshop and Symposium on "Discovering the Beauty in Mathematics", under the theme "Mathematics for All". In Celebration of National Mathematics Day, 2018. Sponsored by WBSCST and Supported by NCSTC, DST, GoI, at Ramsaday College, Amta, Howrah on March 06, 2019.
D. Others Academic programme organized :
• Department has organized students' seminar regularly.
• Department has organized an Online based Essay Writing Competition 'e-SSAY' (e-Students-SAY) on COVID-19 and its Impact from an Indian Perspective during July 2020.
• Department has a wall magazine namely 'MADSION' where the students showcase their views and share various innovative ideas.

• One major research project is ongoing (sanctioned amount is Rs. 7,65,800/-) sponsored by WBDSTBT, Govt. of West Bengal (Memo no. 201 (Sanc)/ST/P/S&T/16G-12/2018, dated19/02/2019).
